TRACK BANQUET, TUESDAY, MAY 21ST @ 6:30 IN THE BJHS CAFETERIA
2013 CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATIONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING, THURSDAY, MAY 16TH@ 6:30 BJHS CAFETERIA
All students interested in running cross country next year, including 6th graders going to Discovery in the fall and all interested 7th and 8th grade Discovery students.
BOB JONES TRACK AND CROSS COUNTRY TEAM TO HOST THE 1ST ANNUAL PATRIOT CUP RACES ON TUESDAY, MAY 14TH STARTING AT 5:00 ON THE Bob Jones Cross Country Course on Eastview Road.
Open to 4th/5th/6th graders from Rainbow, West Madison, Horizon, Columbia and Madison Elementary Schools. 4th grade race at 5:00; 5th grade at 5:30 and 6th grade at 6:00. Top 5 finishers of each race both boys and girls will receive a medal. Cost to enter race $5. Length of each race 1 mile. |

Bob Jones Girls win the Sectional and the boys finished 4th.
Girls were led by 1st place finished by:
• Tajhane Holme -400m
• 4x400 relay (Milan McGruder, Nameena Bojang, Moriah Lorge, Tajhane Holmes)
• Moriah Lorge-pole vault
• Kayla Krueger- triple jump and javelin
The boys were led by a 1st/2nd and 3rd in the pole vault with Austin Butler, Charlie Catoire and AJHarmon. |

AHSAA State Track Meet Results |

May 3-4 AHSAA State Meet @ Gulf Sores, Alabama
Led by Moriah Lorge's 2nd place finish in the pole vault. She lost in a jump-off that lasted through 22 competition jumps.
Other scorers were:
• Kortney Lacey 4th in long jump
• Kayla Krueger 5th in the triple jump
• Ben Washington, 7th in the long jump
• Girls 4x400 relay- 8th: (Milan McGruder, Nameena Bojang, Moriah Lorge, Tajhane Holmes) |

2012/13 Indoor Track Summary |
|
Bob Jones Track teams finished the 2012-13 indoor season by the girls’ team finishing 6th and the boys’ team finishing 13th. The girls were led by senior Kortney Lacey who finished 2nd in long jump 16’10.5” and 5th in the 60m dash 7.98. Other scorers for the Lady-Patriots were:
- Kayla Kruger 4th in triple jump with 36’9” *a new school record and 8th in the high jump 5-0.
- Moriah Lorge 3rd in the pole vault with 10-6 which tied her own school record.>
- 4x400 relay finshed 5th 4:08.14 * a new school record. Milan McGruder, Nameena Bojang, Darb Rasch and Tajahne Holmes.
The boys were led by 9th grader Miles Strickland who finished 6th in the long jump with 21’0” just ¼” out of 3rd place. Other scorers for the boys were:
- 4x200 Relay 6th 1:33.34. Jarek Taylor, David Mitchell, Trenton Lynch, Chris Cazer.
- 4x400 Relay 8th 3:31.87 * new school record. Jarek Taylor, David Mitchell, David Hergenroeder, Chris Cazer.
Bob Jones Indoor Track Teams broke or tied 10 school records this season. The following records were broken or tied:
- Girl’s 60m dash: Kortney Lacey 7.97
- Girl’s 400m dash: Milan McGruder 61.85
- Girl’s Pole Vault: Moriah Lorge 10”6” (tied 3 times)
- Girl’s Triple Jump: Kayla Krueger 36”9”
- Girl’s 4x200 relay: 1:48.88 McGruder, Rasch, Lacey, Bojang
- Girl’s 4x400 relay: 4:08.14 McGruder, Rasch, Holmes, Bojang
- Boy’s 60m dash: Jarek Taylor 7.16
- Boy’s Long Jump: Miles Strickland 21’0”
- Boy’s 4x200 relay: 1:32.71 Taylor, Lynch, Washington, Cazer
- Boy’s 4x400 relay:3:31.87 Taylor, Mitchell, Hergenroeder, Cazer
